Must be a U.S. citizen.
Level three (3) English language proficiency.
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and U. S. tourist passport.
Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of military (MOS 2111, 45 Bravo, or equivalent) or law enforcement armorer experience.
A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been earned overseas.
Must possess the following valid certifications from the manufacturer or other source of instruction approved by DS/PSP/DEAV on all weapons specified:FN 249/240B
Glock 19
Remington M24/M700/870
Colt M4/M16/AR15 and M203
Knight's Armament SR25Must be Factory certified on a continual basis, as required, on all weapons for which he/she is responsible and attend and successfully complete the armorer in-brief and orientation conducted by DS/PSP/DEAV
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance for the duration of the contract.

Summary:
Support the Regional Security Office (RSO) Logistics department at the U.S. Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq. Reports to the DOS weapons program officer from DS/PSP/DEAV for all work-related technical activities. Maintains open communications with DS/PSP/DEAV Armory for all work-related technical activities. Follows all Security standards for issuing and controlling the Department’s Special Protective Equipment (SPE). Provide strong customer service skills. Maintain accurate records. The incumbent uses a variety of administrative and communication skills to help manage the day-to-day operations of the RSO Armory’s activities and programs and shall stay abreast of security notices and policies.

Accountable for all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, managing, and assessing the performance of Armorer staff.
Performs managerial Armorer functions, including periodic and scheduled reports.
Coordinates with RSO Office(s), Defense Equipment and Armored Vehicles (DEAV) and Task Orders (TO) in all business-related transactions within RSO Armory.
Repairs and maintains all Department of State (DOS) Special Protective Equipment (SPE).
Responsible for the installation of special technical equipment for DOS weapons, including but not limited to: USG-Provided Optical Devices, Flashlights, Grenade Launchers, Night Vision Equipment, and Laser Sights.
Performs SPE accountably, property control and inventory tracking.
Maintains active and accurate accounting of all RSO Armory equipment and supplies.
Ensure records and data management/practices are compliant with Government regulations.
Ensure existence, completeness, and accuracy of database files, and perform detailed analysis/audits of records to ensure accuracy.
Ensures customers, officials and other Government employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner both on the telephone and in person.
