This means that our business is expanding to allow us to continue creating unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests, and today we are recruiting for a Maritime Security Manager to join our Team on a Permanent basis.

The RoleThe Maritime Security Manager is an exciting and varied role that will play a key part within the Maritime Security team and will be fundamental in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Company policy.

You will provide an important link between ship and shore offering advice on operational security matters and investigations across the Fleet.

You will also act as a Security SME within Carnival UK. In the absence of the Company Security Officer (CSO), you will be required to deal with Flag Administrations and other external agencies in respect of all security matters.

The role responsibilities include:

To make a significant contribution to the provision of an effective security operation in order to safeguard the safety of our vessels, guests and crew
To ensure compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS), Company policies and procedures, and crime/incident reporting standards
To provide support and guidance to onboard security teams and shoreside colleagues on operational security matters and investigations
To liaise with Flag Administrations, Law Enforcement, Government Agencies, and other external stakeholders with regard to maritime security matters and crime onboard
To continually strive to improve standards and performance by embedding best practice across the Carnival UK Fleet
To support and deputise for the Company Security Officer, as required

For at least two days a week, you’ll be based out of our fantastic offices in the heart of Southampton, less than two hours from central London. In our hybrid working environment, you can also expect to balance this with time spent working remotely every week.

To be considered as Maritime Security Manager you will also need:Law Enforcement/Military and/or maritime security background
To be able to get to Southampton within 2 hours notice
Travel as part of your role for up to 2 weeks at a time
