Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and maintains a security strategy to achieve zero security harm to people, products, the business and business reputation
Applies security strategy to deliver business objectives, aligned with robust financial management and client requirements
Develops and implements plans to operationalize the security strategy
Conducts on-going assessments of security policies, practices, procedures and technologies to ensure alignment with international best practice (Voluntary Principles on Security & Human Rights (VPSHR)), and to enable effective mitigation of potential losses.
Manages the technical support business partners to ensure that security systems are maintained, functioning and effective
Develops, implements and maintains appropriate security policies and procedures and ensures adherence thereto.
Provides assurance to the Operational leadership team and other stakeholders on the adequacy of the protective measures in place at the operations.
Mitigates risks to product and asset loss through a proper risk management process
Implements a sustainable product protection programme to reduce potential product losses through ineffective or inefficient security processes
Ensures the adequacy of the product/export process and mitigates the risk of any product losses in the process
Executes the harnessing of talent and delivery through people
Creates a culture and environment of zero harm through accountable and collective leadership
Organizes personnel and other resources to meet Security management function objectives
Leads the Security Department in a manner that will maximize synergies and enhance value delivery.
Ensures that HR objectives are met with respect to Security staff including localization, training needs, performance management and succession planning.
Establishes and defines work procedures and practices to establish acceptable standards of outputs and performance of Security Management.
To maintain the discipline and the professional quality of security manpower.
Training all security staff in terms of Voluntary Principles on Security & Human Rights in the department and ensure they adhere to these standards.
Defines capital and budgetary requirements and manages budgets allocated for the achievement of Security activities and objectives
To provide an emergency and EVAC plan for all operations
Actively participates in and contributes to Safety meetings, inspections and events.
Ensures Safety standards are applied and adhered to by all Security employees, consultants and visitors.
Ensures that subordinates comply with all legal requirements in respect of Safety.

Requirements:
To have been minimum of 10 years in security services and management, preferably with Mining Company experience.
Security Management Qualification or Risk Management Degree (preferable), or similar in Security Management
Computer and security electronic devices knowledge
Excellent report writing skills
Driving knowledge
To be able to take decision in bad condition like strikes, politic troubles, etc.
To speak, write English, French (Kiswahili - one of Congolese languages is an advantage)
To have a discreet comportment especially outside concession
Willingness to travel to other Chemaf sites and operations.
