Global Safeguarding Manager

Employer: Oxfam
Location: United Kingdom/Global
Salary:£39,655-£51,816 FTE

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.
Do you have experience in managing a Safeguarding Team?
Do you have experience in conducting and managing safeguarding investigations?
Do you have experience in working with survivors of sexual violence?
If the answer is yes, then we would like to hear from you.

The Role
Oxfam Great Britain is looking for a Global Safeguarding Manager to join a busy international safeguarding team, where you will have responsibility to manage a safeguarding team which works to support its safeguarding mission both in the UK and internationally.

What we are looking for
We are looking for professionals with a relevant qualification and experience to help us develop our safeguarding expertise and manage our global safeguarding practice. You will supervise a small number of safeguarding advisors; some located in the UK and some based across the world.
Building on the progress made to date, you will lead caseload work and maintain a high level of practice and development of the team’s professional skills in a complex but Safeguarding arena.
You will be committed to providing a high-quality resource of professional advice, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding practice to staff in the team and throughout Oxfam.
Lead performance management across the team, holding weekly case management meetings, ensuring safeguarding concerns are assessed in a timely manner and progressed for further enquires as necessary.
This post fits within a wider Safeguarding function and has lots of support available. There are also excellent opportunities for global travel, and an unparalleled opportunity for specialist development, in this emerging area of work.

We offer
This role will give you an opportunity to contribute significantly to enabling Oxfam to become a safe, accountable, and feminist organsisation, where safeguarding is integrated into all aspects of our work. Together with the ability to meet the challenges involved, this role offers scope for immense personal fulfilment – as well as opportunities to develop your career.

Oxfam is committed to providing a fair compensation package and to providing a flexible, supportive, working environment.

Flexfam

We believe flexible working is key to building the Oxfam of the future, so we’re open to talking through the type of flexible arrangements which might work for you. We think this role would work particularly well as a partially home-based role or job share.
