Logistics Manager , Iraq

This is a Program Management position based in Iraq and will be associated with the Project Management Office (PMO). The Logistics Manager will take ownership of all PAE warehouse and logistics services, including receiving, stocking, inventorying, issuing and shipment of goods. This position reports to the Program Logistics and Property Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Logistics Manager has oversight over 4 Warehouse and Materials Operations throughout Iraq.
Ensures Warehouses and Materials Operations are operating according to their SOP.
Performs Scheduled and Un-scheduled checks at all sites.
Focuses on Inventory Accountability and the 15 functional areas of a government audit.
Establishes procedures, training, and training teams to teach procedures throughout theater.
Develops statistical analysis on usage and prepares statistics for Program Management Reviews.
Assists in Reviews and re-writes of Property Control Procedures as required.
Plans and establishes inventory timelines, special and cyclical inventories.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Must be able to articulate in a clear and concise manner with Management and Department of State on a daily basis.
Candidate must have ability to backfill for Program Logistics and Property Manager during leaves.

Candidate must possess excellent pro-active verbal and written communication skills and significant attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.


REQUIRED:
Experience: At least 10 years experience in OCONUS, high volume, multi-unit receiving/inventory or supply management environment.
Active knowledge of FAR 52.245-1
Must be proficient in MAXIMO.
Experience with supply chain management (SCM) systems particularly in relation to accurate inventory management.
Must have demonstrated history of managing multi-million dollar inventory in accordance with FAR regulations.
Experience and knowledge of materials-accountability, loss prevention and logistical scheduling
Working independently with various functions and disciplines of supply chain and operations
Experience with analysis and research using the MS Office Suite of programs

Education: High school diploma required. Successful completion of a two or four year curriculum from an accredited college or university or NMPA certification preferred.
Must be highly Proficient in MS-Office Suites (specifically Excel,power point, and Word)
Security Vetting: Must obtain a favorable MRPT certification as required by the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract.
Language Skills: Strong professional English communication skills, both oral and written.
Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required for this position.
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.


WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:

This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50- 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
