Introducing a unique opportunity to join a Fortune 500 company, Emerson, as Security Manager, Europe.
In this role, you will take leadership of and responsibility for the development and implementation of the Company's security programs and crisis management strategies within Europe. You will report directly to the Vice President, Global Security for all aspects of security (physical, personnel, facilities and assets). You will also act as the primary point of contact and liaison with international, national and local law enforcement agencies.
Specifically, you will be in charge of the following internal security programs for Europe:
Crisis Management Program
Travel Safe Program
Site Security Reviews
Executive Protection Program

Role Responsibilities
Produce and update risk and threat assessments to provide early warning of local issues that may affect business(s) operations - coordinate communications, recommendations with Vice President, Global Security and on the ground business unit leadership;
Coordinate with business unit leadership and internal/external travel resources to deliver Emerson's Travel Safe program;
Build and maintain a network of local-based security service providers;
Brief leadership team on security issues and emergency and response plans in place;
Manage security budget;
Consult with business units on all security related issues and training needs. Complete Security Incident Reports (SIR);
Establish and provide direction/guidance for business unit/site level security contacts network;
Key team member of world area/business unit crisis management teams;
Maintain membership and participation in local ASIS International organization activities;
Key resource to facilitate business continuity planning and execution;
Develop and maintain Global Security Europe SharePoint site;
For Succeeding In This Position, You Will Need
Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
A minimum of ten years combined experience in law enforcement, private sector security, military or related field;
Proven experience managing and conducting security related operations in country and managing security agency or consultant led projects;
Proficient English language skills are required. Fluency in German or French is an advantage;
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (at least 30% of the time) and often on short notice;
Demonstrated competency: MS Office Suite;
Certifications ASIS - Physical Security Professional and/or Certified Protection Professional preferred;
Above all, you are easily adaptable and driven to succeed. Your strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with and influence business leaders at all levels, strongly contribute to your success. You are continuously looking to develop and improve your professional skills.
