Barbaricum is seeking an experienced MISO/IO trainer to provide support to a US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) customer. Specifically, the Trainer will support the Joint Special Operations Task Force - Somalia (JSOTF-SOM) and the development of a new Information Operations capability by providing development, training, monitoring and mentoring of Somali counterparts. Responsibilities will include developing training support packages (translated in Somali), providing classroom instruction, mentoring during “Train the Trainer” events, and assisting in the creation of Information Operations products supporting operational requirements.
Qualifications
Active DoD Secret Clearance required
Previous military experience as an E-7/O-3 or above in at least one of the following: 18 CMF, 38A, 38B, 37A, 37F, 46S, (or service equivalent) with training or instructor experience
Minimum one year deployed in an austere environment serving in one of the occupational specialties listed above, or one year serving as an active duty instructor at a proponent sponsored school house.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Public speaking skills
Past instructor experience preferred
Experience working in East Africa preferred.
