Security Manager, Kuwait

Job Summary
AECOM has an immediate opening for a Security Manager in Kuwait.

The Security Manager is responsible for all security operations on his/her assigned shift and must have the requisite experience and training to be responsible for all security measures taken to meet security requirements. Investigates security incidents and recommends improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and training plans.
Responsible for establishing work schedules and is in charge of their staff and employees manning requirements.
Ensures that the security work force follows the SOPs, WIs, CDRLs, and PWS requirements.
May be required to function as security guard if needed.
Responsible for providing proper training to meet requirements.
Ensures optimal functionality of the overall security program, physical security and Force Protection measures and programs.
Directs and leads subordinates on the day-to-day operations and ensures daily assignments are carried out in a responsive and timely manner.
Responsible for the well-being of the Security Force in their Areas of Responsibility. This includes mentoring subordinates and ensuring proper housing, dining, uniform, and safety gear is available for all guards.
Performs assessments and delivers training programs for the security team members and other Multi National employees
Ensures the security force is trained and available to assist base operations or the AFSBn – S2.
Instills a safety-first mentality within respective security shift and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Secret Clearance is required

Experience:
5 years of security operations, law enforcement, and industrial security experience required or closely related field.
Prior experience in managing large number of employees and comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures as it pertains to force protection.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Must have the ability to use initiative, exercise practical independent judgement, and leadership skills as it applies to the organization as well as in emergency situations
Must have advanced level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications
Must be able to effectively mobilize and apply staff in emergency situations
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
