Role Purpose:
The Director of Security & Crisis Management will be responsible for:
Ensure the protection of MAF Ventures’ employees, profit, assets and reputation.
Introduce a framework to ensure security & safety controls across all operations.
Design, role model and implement practices that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value and a priority in all aspects of work across the region.
Provide recommendations for the protection of employees, guests and affiliates and prevent financial loss, damage, or business interruptions.
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Overseeing and conduct comprehensive risk and site vulnerability assessments to identify
deficiencies, recommend and implement mitigation action plans
Designs, implements, and manages security and emergency preparedness and response programs, functions, and operations, security policies, protocols and procedures for employees, customers, contractors, and property.
Develops strategy to assess and mitigate security risks and maintain continuity of operations during periods of disruption due to natural and human-made disasters to safeguard MAF Ventures’ operations and ensure safe and timely restoration of services
Provide protection to all employees, profit and assets against both internal and external security threats.
Provide a first line response during crises, assess and categorize risks and implement actions to reduce business exposure
Direct & supervise security guard teams across multiple sites
Responsible for preparing daily incident reports, requisitions and other inter office memos and ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded
Oversees the development and delivery of security awareness and emergency management training programs.
Manages the department's budget, administration and implementation of all aspects of operational security and emergency management programs to include, but not limited to, all-hazards emergency preparedness, response, and recovery; continuity of operations; contracted police and security programs, including CCTV and access control; fare enforcement administration; security training for guards and employees; emergency management training for employees and emergency responders; and security and emergency management related capital projects.
Acts as a point of liaison with local authorities & all required third parties on security matters
Demonstrate close relationships with high-level domestic and international law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector counterparts.
Ensures that all security contracts are executed within established scope, schedule, and budget. Develops and writes scopes of work for various security and emergency management related contracts and Intergovernmental agreements.
Briefs senior management on status of security issues and operations and represents organization in senior and/or executive level corporate, government and industry security working groups.
Enforce and monitor compliance with security controls; investigate all instances of breach to security controls
Keep abreast of new developments, best practice and new technologies in the Loss Prevention industry that may benefit the entities and drive improvements in the risk mitigation strategies developed.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and guides the efforts of the Accident Prevention Committee, Fire and Safety Committee.
Establish crisis management and contingency planning.
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific / adhoc events
Prerequisites:
A minimum of 11 years total credited experience. Progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, safety, security, or emergency management that includes a minimum of five years of supervisory and program management responsibilities in a medium to large organization.

Functional/Technical Competencies
Previous experience in same or similar role, previous police or military experience will be an added advantage
First Aid
Firefighting qualification (from relevant local Civil Defense authority)
IT proficiency
Fire combat training
Extensive knowledge regarding Security Control Room awareness, CCTV systems, Access Controls & other security related equipment
Established network of security professional peers to share best practice, gather security intelligence and review security threats

Proven leadership and management record of accomplishment working across functions.
Proven influencing skills and the ability to liaise with different levels in the organization.

Good relationship with authorities is a plus.
Must be Arabic speaker with a strong understanding of regional dialects.
Minimum experience
A minimum of 11 years total credited experience. Progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, safety, security, or emergency management that includes a minimum of five years of supervisory and program management responsibilities in a medium to large organization.
Must have extensive experience in the MENA region and cross exposure to high risk areas or regions.
Must have a strong understanding of cultural nuances which may pose as threat within designated territories or regions
In depth knowledge and understanding of the risk management personnel, legal department team, human resources, and environmental health and safety employees
Minimum Qualifications/education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience, preferably in public security management.
Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
