Tasks
Your main responsibilities will include:
Monitor physical security of ABB premises, and provide necessary advice for management.
Provide ABB expats with security briefings, updates and advice; keep regular contact and full database of all their details.
Confirm proper security arrangements for ABB visitors from exporting countries. Provide visitors with required briefings/ updates, and maintain necessary contact with them.
Support, coordinate and monitor security arrangements for ABB projects and movement of personnel inside Iraq and Near East countries.
Provide security updates / presentations and monthly security reports to CMD and Regional Security management.
Maintain effective network with security peers and local authorities to share necessary security information and benchmark best practices.
Act as a member of local Crisis Management Team.
Prepare, edit and update necessary security plans.
Train staff on ABB security policies, procedures & regulations.
Perform necessary audits at ABB premises, approved accommodations and project sites.
Contribute to effective risk management by providing necessary assessments when required.
Identify, investigate and resolve security breaches.
Collect, analyze and report on performance according to region security plan and agreed KPIs.
Drive behavioral change for continuous improvement of security performance.
Requirements
Ideally you should have either a police/military graduation degree, or have a bachelor's degree in security management studies with 10 years of relevant experience, including corporate security not less than 3 years. Sufficient awareness of the organization chart, nature of business and implications of security on business is expected. Ability to develop new security standards, procedures or plans according to different situations with previous experience in other countries will be an asset. You must be able to do short term operational planning & as well as long term strategic planning with an ability to face sudden security situations with adequate on-time actions. Fluency in spoken & written english with an ability to produce word and excel reports as well as power point presentation is required.

You as a Country Security Manager will be a part of corporate function sustainability affairs and will be based in Bagdad, Iraq. In this role you will provide competent functional support and shared services throughout the country. and ensure that ABB operations in Iraq and Near East are aligned with security standards.
