Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·Ensure that any materials / items carried out of the hotel premises have permitted outgoing passes.
·You will report loss, theft and safety incidents involving guests, employees and/or hotel loss and safety exposure in timely manner to prevent/minimize the loss from theft and other safety risk or litigation against the hotel.
·Control access into staff entrances and Goods Receiving HOH areas (ID checks, maintenance of logs, key control, and random searches).
·The primary responsibility of the hotel security officer is to OBSERVE and REPORT only! Under no circumstance is a security officer authorized to initiate any form of physical contact with any person unless specifically authorized in law. Security Officers should not touch or physically restrain any person unless the officer is in threat of immediate injury from that person or to protect a third party from the threat of immediate death or serious injury.
·Maintain an overt presence within the public areas (lobby and guest floors etc) to deter those with ill-intent and provide a reassurance to guests.
·Interact with guests in professional and courteous manners, solicit feedback and build relationships.
·Ensure the safety and security of guest, staff, visitors and contractors by effectively supervising all safety& security officers and systems in order to control risks that face the hotel.
·Play an active role in the hotel green initiatives and community projects
