Role Specific Information
Development and implementation of the NRC Security Management System at area level
Conduct Security Risk Analysis (SRA) according to minimum operational requirements (MOSS)
Minimize security risks to the operations of NRC in the Area Office
Management of security staff at area office
Support, training, control and development of security staff in area office
Prepare reports as required
Communicate and cooperate with relevant external security actors
Train and develop staff in safety and security
Our Ideal Candidate:
University graduate in relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience from working as a Senior Security Manager / Adviser in a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience working in complex and volatile situations, particularly in high risk areas in the Middle East. Expertise in responding to humanitarian emergencies, establishing security policy procedures, conducting security assessments, and documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. A seasoned leader who will manage and build up the technical capacity of our security national staff. Fluency in English, both written and verbal; Arabic is an advantage.
We are particularly looking for a humanitarian professional with strong security background particularly with recent experience working with UN or INGOs.
