Position Overview
The Associate will be responsible for developing, producing and supporting the research and investigative work that forms the basis for case production.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Information gathering including database, internet and public domain research
Verifying the credibility of the information and sources
Analysing the information, drawing implications for clients/senior management, and preparing high quality written and oral reports
Liaising with human sources to disseminate information
Coordinating research & liaising with other analysts in the team
Being creative in developing traditional and non-traditional sources of information, especially in areas where public information is limited
Required Experience
Strong academic background, preferably a Masters in the fields of International Relations, International Business and Political Science, or security studies, from a leading university
Background of commercial experience, preferably gained in a research-related intensive environment or in media
Resourceful and analytical with good common sense and sound business acumen
Fluent in spoken and written English and native Japanese speaker
Good computer skills
Experience in writing effective reports and/or articles
Awareness of cultural sensitivities
The position may require extensive travel both nationally and internationally.
