Job Description :
F-16 Weapons/Armament and Munitions Quality Assurance Inspector. This position is part of the Quality Support Team for the F16 CLS Program at Balad Air Base in Iraq, and will be responsible for program and aircraft quality assurance. Ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review CA/PA reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans. Experienced in inspection of Aircraft ground handling/servicing; component
removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD) execution. Must have experience in inspection of Aerospace Ground equipment AGE/GSE; Hazardous Waste Management programs; tool & FOD industry standards; equipment calibration procedures; general security procedures Should be able to identify and understand non-conformities, as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and/or program (process) audits. Ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations. Additional Information: Must have over 10 years recent on/off aircraft maintenance and Quality Control experience. The first several months of this assignment may consist of site set-up activities in Tucson, AZ, to include but not limited to light to medium construction activities such as assembling warehouse shelving and furniture in all areas of the maintenance complex. All candidates must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities, assist with receiving and storing supplies and support equipment. Eventually, all personnel will deploy to Balad Air Base in Iraq. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities at Balad Air Base. The site will still be under construction at the time of the first arrivals. Job Location Premiums will be provided for this location. Environmental/weather conditions can be extreme during different seasons. Site is a secure compound to which team members will be confined. Flexibility, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.
Basic Qualifications
Quality Control Inspector / QA Have a minimum USAF Level 7 skills rating (or equivalent experience) in F-16 Weapons/Armament or Munitions specialty. Must have over 10 years recent on/off aircraft maintenance and Quality Control experience
Desired skills
Practical experience with Quality Management (QMS) internal audit processes
formal training preferred. Should be able to identify and understand non-conformities, as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and/or program (process) audits. Ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review CA/PA reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans. Ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations. Must be able to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions. Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer Excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2010). Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, valid driver’s license, and U.S. passport.
