About The Role
The Control Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising all facets of control room operations whilst overseeing the core duties of the Security Control Room in in identifying, assessing and coordinating a strategic response to security and emergency situations.

The role is classified as a salaried position (Tier 2) in accordance with the Sydney Opera House Enterprise Agreement. The role will be required to work predominantly day work, however flexibility and availability will be essential for nights and weekends dependent upon operational requirements/events.

What We Are Looking For : 
The successful candidate will be a security control room expert, having previous experience leading a team in this environment and maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of security risk and emergency management frameworks, policies, plans and procedures, Workplace Surveillance Act, CCTV and systems. You will have the capacity to self-direct and make decisions by incorporating excellent organisational, strategic, analytical and lateral thinking skills. You will have strong management and leadership skills, aptitude to build high performing teams and value staff development. You will also possess the required licencing and qualifications for the role.

New employment legislation applies to the NSW public sector with effect from 24th February 2014. All current and new Public Service non-executive employees will be employed at a classification level and assigned to a role rather than appointed to a position. Employees may be re-assigned to other roles at the same classification over time, in line with organisation priorities and/or personal development plans.
