About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen join the G4S Care and Justice team. This position will be based Melbourne at the Thomas Embling Hospital as the Security Operations Manager.
Role Responsibility:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for perimeter security for the Thomas Embling Hospital;
Accounts to the Director Courts, Transport & Security for the operational efficiency, contractual compliance and cost effectiveness of the Thomas Embling Hospital contract;
Ensure that the contract is carried out in accordance with the agencies contractual requirements;
Ensure effective liaison between Thomas Embling Hospital Security Services staff and agency staff in order to promote good working relationships;
Ensure that all operations; scheduling and staffing are carried out in a cost effective manner;
Receive and examine reports of incidents, accidents, complaints and disciplinary matters and resolve issues promptly;
Ensure that timely reports of all reportable incidents and emergency situations are conveyed to Thomas Embling Hospital Security Manager;
Ensure that the principles of Compliance are applied at all levels within responsibility;
Ensure that detailed contingency plans are in existence to cover all foreseeable emergencies;
Manage all OH&S to ensure a safe environment;
Ensure that resources are utilised efficiently to provide an effective service; and
Liaise closely with the Thomas Embling Hospital Security Manager in respect to all matters pertaining to the contract.
Meet with rostered staff;
Review Daily Work File (TEH036) -Action as required;
Review roster / s -Update as required. (I.e. Annual leave requests, casual escorts, etc);
Check E-mail / phone / written messages -Action as required;
Meet with Thomas Embling Hospital Clinical Administrator -Action as required;
Meet with Thomas Embling Hospital Security Manager. (if on site)-Action as required;
Calculate, document and post TOIL numbers;
Review future rosters and update as required;
Print and post new roster; and
Issue refresher training exercises as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role would suit someone with the following background and experience:
Minimum two years experience in a senior management role;
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of operations;
Working knowledge of relevant acts and regulations; and
Understanding of financial statements and budgets.
Hold Certificate 3 in Security Operations and Certificate 3 Correctional practice (Custodial)
Desirable Requirements
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field; and.
Correctional background.
