Role Responsibility:
In line with our core values the responsibilities undertaken within this role, but not limited to are as follows:
- Conduct internal and external site patrols at various G4S sites
- Conduct welfare checks on G4S employees at various sites during their shift
- Understand and demonstrate radio protocol procedures
- Comply with rosters and time recording processes
- Conduct all searches in a thorough and professional manner
- Complete all reports and registers in a correct and timely fashion
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Post Orders that ensure the required functioning of the various security systems at the different sites
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Dress Code and Standing Orders of G4S
- Comply with G4S Policy and Procedures
- Comply with all current legislation in regards to Queensland road rules
- To be familiar and compliant with relevant Workplace Health and Safety processes for the facility and to contribute to the development of safe work practices
- Conduct duties at all times in a courteous, professional manner, ensuring a customer service focus
- Other Duties as directed by Management
The Ideal Candidate:

In order to carry out the position of Maritime Security Officer successfully you will ideally possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- A current Security Licence
- A current certificate in First Aid
- MSIC or the ability to obtain one
- A Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- An ability to assess problems and make sound judgments as to the action to be taken
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work alone
- A professional attitude and excellent grooming standards
- Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
- A team-player attitude and are able to work unsupervised
- Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
