About French Medical Institute for Children -The French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) was founded in 2006 in a unique public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan
& France, a French NGO – La Chaine de L’Espoir and the Aga Khan Development Network through the Aga Khan University Hospital. The Institute has risen to the challenge of charting a course towards sustainable health solutions for Afghanistan. The French Medical Institute for Children provides medical and surgical health care services for pediatric patients and outpatient services to adult as well with wide variety of diagnostic services. FMIC plans to expand towards obstetrics and neonatology services in order to further contribute to the international efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality in Afghanistan
Job Summary :
• Plan and execute FMIC Safety and Security Program aimed at preventing incidents.
• Analyze, identify and update the security threats/vulnerabilities by carrying out Risk Analysis in collaboration with Facilities Management to suggest preventive measure to prevent losses.
• Ensure proper implementation of Safety and Security policy Directives/ Orders of the Department on a daily basis through inspections, review of records, weekly meetings and random checks.
• Analyzing the prevailing security situation and giving security advice to the users.
• Carrying out training need assessment, plan and supervise the training of the FMIC Security staff.
Duties and Responsibilities • Plan and execute FMIC Safety and Security Program aimed at preventing incidents.
• Analyze, identify and update the security threats/vulnerabilities by carrying out Risk Analysis in collaboration with Facilities Management to suggest preventive measure to prevent losses.
• Ensure proper implementation of Safety and Security policy Directives/ Orders of the Department on a daily basis through inspections, review of records, weekly meetings and random checks.
• Analyzing the prevailing security situation and giving security advice to the users.
• Carrying out training need assessment, plan and supervise the training of the FMIC Security staff.
• Supervise safety awareness program and arrange in – service training of personnel accordingly.
• Develop / update polices and procedure and community planning in accordance with JCIA/ISO on a required basis.
• Plan and supervise the Electronic Security System (CCTV/Access Control System/Alarm Systems)
• Liaise and coordinate with outside security /Law Enforcement Agencies including AKDN on all security matters on a regular basis
• Maintaining of close rapport with community power /stakeholders to gain support for providing for safe and secure environment for smooth functioning of FMIC.
• Remain on call round the clock to attend emergency needs of the Institution.
• Keep his supervisor informed /updated on all the operational and administrative matters related to safety and security.
• Any other task assigned by the Supervisor
b. PERIODIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Monthly Safety and Security reports
• Good Rapport building with government security agencies
• Carry out safety and security checks at FMIC whenever asked to do so
Qualification
• At least 14 years of education with a safety and security acumen
• Age 35 to 45 years.
Skills
Proficient in security ,Administration ,Man-Management Investigations and safety prevention
Language(s) required Dari , English & Pashto
