RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
ICITAP is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.
Work with key stakeholders in helping develop the national police institutionalize the capability to
provide relevant and accountable service delivery.
Build strong relationships with other donors and develop a working plan to complement these efforts.
Mentor and provide targeted training to help the national police develop and improve policies and procedures in key areas.
MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree and 20 years of experience.
At least 5 years of management experience.
10 years of international criminal justice program development.
Strong background in law enforcement and supervisory experience managing programs or projects.
Experience advising executives at a federal or state levels on law enforcement policies.
Ability to establish personnel and budgets.
The described requirements may be substituted by additional years of law enforcement experience and/or international criminal justice program development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
International law enforcement experience.
