The Federal Services Division, operating as Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp., has its mission to provide a full range of services to our primary client base – U.S. Government agencies and departments. The division also serves selected other private and quasi-public entities that receive a material portion of their funding from the U.S. Government. Primary Purpose The B&V KHPP Intelligence/Operations Assistant will be responsible for tracking, accountability and reporting of all project personnel and reports for the OPCEN for B&V security operations near Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Operations/Intelligence Assistant: Assists in planning, reviewing, coordinating, evaluating, and integrating actions required to support current and future B&V security operations in the southern regions of Afghanistan (Helmand and Kandahar Provinces) and for monitoring the Afghan Public Protection Force (APPF) in Kandahar and Kabul. Operations/Intelligence Assistant is a member of B&V’s Operations Center staff •Acts as the assistant to the operations and intelligence staff and is responsible for: oRisk assessments oThreat analysis oThreat surveys oDaily Security Reports oDebriefings
Minimum Qualifications •The Operations/Intelligence Assistant will be fluent in written and spoken English. Prior Military NCO (non commission officer) or equivalent experience. •The Contractor reserves the right to reject individual CVs. •Extremely flexible with the ability to cope with stressful situations •Able to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. •Superior communications skills and instant credibility as this position requires interface with individuals from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions. •Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Job Qualifications •Must have a valid, current passport from an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) member nation and be able to obtain an ISAF base access badge with escorting privileges within 15 days of arrival in the country.
