Force Protection Specialist

Job Description
Conducts AT/FP Level I training. Enters student information into the Command Learning Management System. Develops and participates in AT/FP exercises. Develops and updates AT Level I training materials. Conducts criticality and vulnerability assessments. Develops threat analyses from multiple sources daily. Represents the Government at Force Protection Working Groups. Reviews DoD and DOE guidance for impact on organization. Drafts policy, correspondence and briefings for Government
approval. Develops AT/FP plans and procedures. Coordinates with host military AT officers, local police, FBI and DHS. Participates in security assistance visits to subordinate elements. Assists in developing an effective antiterrorism program. Assists in developing an antiterrorism program, and identifies the potential terrorist threats to DTRA personnel and assets.Prepares and delivers situational awareness support through analytical AT/FP program assistance. Assists the Government in drafting and developing AT/FP Plans and procedures critical to deterrence, detection, defense, and response to terrorist incidents. Interprets higher level AT/FP policy and guidance and assists in the review of subordinate activity AT/FP plans as directed by DODI 2000.16, Standard 7. Conducts researches, writes, analyzes, and briefs Government personnel. Prepares and coordinates staff packages.


Position Requirements
Required:
Knows DoD AT/FP doctrine and procedures. Excellent writing, teaching, briefing skills; works well on a staff of Government and contractors. Delivered AT/FP services for a military service or DoD agency. Prior DTRA experience preferred
Associates Degree
DoD vulnerability assessment certifcation
AT/FP level II certification
Years of technical experience: 5 to 7.
Preferred: B.S. degree. CPP certification
Security Clearance TS/SCI

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knows DoD AT/FP doctrine and procedures. Delivered AT/FP services for a military service or DoD agency

Education AA degree. DoD vulnerability assessment certification; AT/FP level II certification. Bachelor’s degree and CPP preferred.
