Job Description
The Communications Specialist requires extensive expertise/knowledge in ISR communications.
To be considered, the qualified candidates shall possess:
· Possess diverse and extensive hands-on intelligence assessment experience with a thorough understanding of intelligence ingest including SIGINT, IMINT, GEOINT, and FMV into Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) Centers, thoroughly understanding the PED assessment
processes, with corresponding knowledge of measuring effectiveness to the warfighters in the field.
· Information Technology and Communications skill sets required to include: Operating Systems, Routers, Servers and Workstation configuration. Advising, assisting, and training on installing DVB-RCS and GBS full motion video system. Familiarly with planning Satellite Communications, HF/VHF/UHF and Microwave Line of Site Communication networks.
· Designing and planning communications architectures to integrate various ISR platforms into the overall USFOR-A communications network. Experience is required in System Administration, Network Administration and Infrastructure, and CAT V and fiber optic cable.
· Certifications in Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Information Assurance Computer Network Defense Levels, Information Assurance, Information Management, WAN/LAN, etc, will be considered.
· Ability to interact with senior military leadership is essential. Candidates must also exhibit leadership, teamwork, ingenuity, critical thinking, and initiative.
· An understanding of the Afghanistan Area of Responsibility (AOR) and/or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) is a plus.
· A minimum of a Masters Degree plus 5 years operational experience is required. A minimum of 10 years military operational PED / Communications experience may be substituted in lieu of the Masters Degree with the experience combination.
Proof of US citizenship and subject to a Govt. security investigation
The minimum of a DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
