Instructor, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

The Partnership for Defense Innovation is accepting applications for an experienced Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) instructor to provide advanced EOD training for select members of the Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH) EOD Company. The applicant will be training non-EOD qualified personnel
assigned to the BiH EOD Company.

The place of performance of this position is Sarajevo, Bosnia.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a retired and/or former EOD Specialist (89D), applicant will serve as a Senior Instructor to provide training to the Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH) EOD Company. This training is being provided as part of a Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the execution of the Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs. This is the second round of advanced EOD training for the BiH EOD Company, and in this role the applicant will be responsible to:
Assist in the development and refinement of the program of instruction (POI) and training support packages;
Serve as primary instructor for the BiH Advanced EOD Course;
Serve as range safety while on ranges; and
Provide repots and after action reviews (AAR) to the Team Chief.

There is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms in this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicant shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a military explosive ordnance technician, with demonstrated successful performance. This experience shall include serving in a military EOD unit and recent supervisory and instructor experience.
Must be a graduate of the US Navy EOD School.
Applicant must possess the Master EOD Badge.
Must have served as a Team Leader in EOD Operations in either Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
Must have prior experience as an instructor at the US Navy EOD School.
Applicant must possess a Bachelors of Science degree in an appropriate discipline or sufficient vocation / military school training and certifications.
Applicant must possess an active SECRET Clearance.
Applicant must possess demonstrated prior experience and maintain the ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an interpreter.
Prior experience as a military instructor in the related skill is highly desired.
Prior experience developing military instructional material.
Prior experience working with and training foreign military personnel, in the region, is highly desired.
Prior experience serving as a Team Lead on a Security Assistance Training mission is highly desired.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically fit with ability to present a professional military appearance and bearing.

Must possess a current US Tourist Passport, which will not expire within 14 months of being hired.
Candidate must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
