Position Summary
Influence character and values while guiding officers through the fundamentals of branch and functional area competencies.
Position Responsibilities
•Focus on law enforcement/military culture and will frequently address educational and professional development concerns.
•Provide professional instruction, one-on-one, face-to-face counseling and advice, focused on
preparing higher level leaders for increased responsibility in law enforcement leadership.
•Share personal and professional experiences with higher level leaders to exemplify a coaching point that builds their confidence and competency.
•Must have the knowledge and experience to support conter narcotics, counter insurgency operations, law enforcement procedurs, intelligence collection, instruction/teaching of law enforcement curriculum and procedures, customs and the Rule of Law.
•Counter Narcotics Mentors will serve as trainers and mentors to Host Nation, U.S. and Coalition Forces who are responsible for building counter narcotics law enforcement/security forces capabilities
Essential Skills and Experience•15 years of progressive experience in the field
•Relevant Senior Management experience
•US Citizen
•Current Department of Defense Secret and or Top Secret clearances
•Must have a valid US Driver’s License and US Tourist Passport
•Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable)
•Prior Law Enforcement experience
•Experience in teaching/instruction of law enforcement programs
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must be willing to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day.
