vision for the establishment of an innovative security program.Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to support all company activities and implement Corporate International Security Policy for all Anadarko projects for assigned countries within the Middle East, and to mentor and develop security operations personnel within the region. The position reports to the Manager, Global Security Operations (MGSO) and functionally reports to the Regional head of business groups. This position is based a Europe-based position, but will be required to travel frequently to the Middle East region, working as part of an international team of security professionals and will be responsible for the implementation of the Middle East.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities
This position supervises Security contractors within the Middle East (and potentially assists other regions, as dictated by project demands). Specific responsibilities include:
Plan and prepare for Anadarko operations in the region
Proactively identify and evaluate security risks within the region
Recommend security policies, procedures and guidelines to MGSO
Ensures security risk assessments are performed at all pertinent sites
Liaise with security authorities in the region in support of current operations and in preparation for future operations
Supervise security support in other countries within the region as required in preparation for Anadarko operations
Contract control for all security related contracts in the Middle East
Initiate continuous improvement activities to ensure quality and cost-effective security services.
Reviews security equipment requirements and recommends cost effective solutions
Develops scope of work and contract parameters with outside security firms that support operations
Support all Anadarko personnel visits to the Middle East
Liaise with in-country Embassies for US and other citizens traveling and working in the Middle East
Liaise within the region for security and personnel evacuation preparation
Liaise with and support for all short notice and long term travel in the region
Support executive and operations visits within region
Manage journey management program for Anadarko personnel in countries within the region
Consult with business unit customers to ensure they are satisfied with security service delivery and cost.

Serve as point of contact for current security issues within the region
Support the development and implementation of crisis management plans, as needed
Lead crisis management response for incidents within region
Ensure implementation and execution of local emergency response plans through support for the local Incident Management Team (IMT).
Ensure common global processes are implemented and best practices are shared.
Provide security personnel training
Write and implement detailed security force orders for contracted guards
Liaise with security forces within the region

Maintain current information base on all countries in the region
Provide Daily security updates and information presentation for security of personnel in country
Provide comprehensive and accurate reports to assess, document, and communicate results of security reviews and audits
Create Immediate Incident Reports and Routine Situation Reports to MGSO and Global Threat Analyst on a weekly basis
Inform the MGSO regarding security related incidents and activities.
Communicate regularly with corporate Security regarding overall responsibilities Support the Global Security Investigations team with security investigations if requested.

Skills and Requirements
Working knowledge of processes related to security such as: travel security, business metrics, reporting hotlines and databases, emergency response and crisis management, information security, executive protection, physical and technical security systems technology, quality assurance for purchased services.
Experience working in a multi-national environment with travel experience across range of countries and continents.
Ability to recognize the need for special investigations such as: complex fraud and theft cases, loss of proprietary information, workplace violence threats.
Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and internet
Ability to travel locally and internationally as needed
Ability to support the implementation of corporate policy, processes, and best practices for security throughout the assigned business units.

Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree
Professional Security Certification, preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the security field or related field within the Middle East
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Oil and Gas Industry
Experience with consistent and effective communication at the highest level of the assigned business units, including personal security briefings with the top executives of the assigned business units (required).

Language Skills
Proficient in verbal and written English language skills.
Ability to communicate in French/Arabic

Licenses
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
International driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Relocation
This position is not eligible for relocation
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position may exceed 50%. Flexibility to travel frequently within the region and globally, as needed.
Work Schedule
This position covers 24-hour operations and must be available for 24/7 on call
