The Role
Head of Security - Tax free, plus excellent benefits.

Supervisory Role:
Plans and coordinates the activities of Security Operations.
Focal point for Senior Management for all security activities
Onshore/Offshore. Represent Security Sections interests at managerial level
planning meetings.
Security and Crime Risk Management:
Conducts detailed and comprehensive Threat and Risk analysis of all
Qatargas assets. Plans and develops programs to mitigate identified threats.
Conducts annual review of programs to ensure accuracy.

Training and Development:
Oversees the design and development of security training courses for
Security Staff

Health and Safety:
In consultation with SEQ, ensures all mandatory Health, Safety,
Environmental and Quality requirements are met by Security Section.

Policy and Procedures:
Contributes to the development of Qatargas security policy and procedures.

Security Incident Response:
Investigates security related incidents to establish incident control.
Leadsinvestigations into causes and reports on findings together with
recommendations for corrective actions.

Budget:
Highlights the requirements of the operating and capital budgets for security
section and makes recommendation to Dept Manager. Represents Qatargas
Security interests on budgetary matters with senior management

Requirements
Key Requirements:
Substantial knowledge of all security development and operational functions
developed through formal training and experience. An analytical approach is
necessary to developing possible options for resolution of problems. A high
order of communication skills is demanded, as is the ability to work under
pressure, often in isolation.
Role holder will also be expected to show development potential in the areas of directing, planning and organizing, technical report-writing and possess well developed PC and software skills.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline related to security or crime investigation and experience in military or police (desirable).

At least 10 years of varied experience in a security management environment is required.

Candidate should be certified in protection and physical security standards for industrial security or equivalent
