Physical Security Operations Manager Memphis
Job Location: Memphis, TNThe Physical Security Operations Manager creates the security policy and provides the related security support for Nike Tn. Distribution Centers (DC). This Senior Manager is responsible for publishing security standards and policies for these locations, ensuring that both overt and covert tests and audits occur at desired frequency, providing guidance, training and counsel to our Facility Security Contacts at these locations. This position is based in Memphis, TN.
As the Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the DC’s, this individual is expected to create, establish, implement and verify compliance with security procedures, physical security design standards and policies and ensure that all comply with our IT and Physical Security Policies and support the goals of our facility team while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of security at our facilities. This includes leveraging technology and systems to create processes and support systems that are sustainable and scalable. These systems and processes should enable the local and regional security functions to draw services from the Corporate Security team in an automated fashion whenever possible.
The Senior Manager should have the following competencies:
- Drafting Scopes of Work
- Completing and/or coordinating the final Test and Acceptance of site security systems
- Establish and implement effective, predictable and measurable procedures/processes.
- Work with supervisors and internal customers to establish, provide and agree on, clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.
- Builds and deploys security training programs
- Managing of a contract security guard workforce at multiple locations.

Prior security experience is required as the successful candidate will utilize their security expertise and management strength to drive results and leverage security’s mission.
The Senior Manager will work with cross functional teams to develop, train related staff and associates on, and deploy specific programs, policies and procedures that motivate associates and staff to follow the policies, procedures and guidelines that ensure proper access control is maintained, Corporate Physical Security Standards are adhered to, and assets are protected. The individual will be responsible for the creation and delivery of awareness training programs related to security systems, emergency response and security programs.
He/she will support internal customers in the development of the actions needed to resolve identified issues and mitigate risks. The Senior Manager will ensure the effective use of resources (manpower, hardware, and software), metrics, and communication tools so that they provide our leadership and stakeholders with a high level of confidence in support of our mission.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, security and asset policy development, transportation/supply chain security, guard force utilization, and investigations.
- 7+ years as a security manager in a multi-location corporate environment.
- 5+ years as a successful investigator across multiple locations.
- 5+ years of experience in customer service driven environment
- 5+ years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments
- Experience as a Security Manager for large, complex operating locations
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications
- Customer focused and results oriented leader that possesses strong influencing skill and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. Proven ability to work with and effectively persuade facility site leaders and senior management.
