KBTT BCT Task Force Signal Observer Controller Trainer

Location: Kuwait-CampYankee

Description
1. Reports directly to BCT Senior OC.
2. Serves as the Signal SME for a BCT Observer Controller Team.
3. Serves as Senior Mentor and Trainer for a Task Force-level commander and staff.
4. Maintains currency in Signal Operations in order to support Full Spectrum of Operations.
5. Teach, coach and mentor a TF-level Signal Officer and section with the following:
- Planning and supervision of the command's communication support network, including ABCS, Command Post Node, and other digital communication hardware.
- Coordinate frequency allocation requests, NIPR and SIPR links, reporting and processing of
monitoring, interference, jamming and intrusion (MIJI) problems.
- Coordination of signal interface with host nation, allied forces, and joint task forces.
- Coordination with the S9 on availability of civilian communications for military use.
- Manage and control communication links supporting the battlefield information system (BIS).
- Ensure Battalion has the capability to communicate via secure means.
- Recommend to the S3 priorities for communications to support tactical operations and locations of
command posts that support communication activities.
- Manage the production of directories and listings of all users of the common user network.
- Manage all communications security (COMSEC) matters.
- Maintain all Battalion C-E equipment. Inspect regularly the maintenance of all Battalion C-E equipment.
- Recommend PIRs to the S2 through the S3.
- Assist the S3/S2 in preparation of EW plans and annexes.
- Write Paragraph 5 (Command and Signal) and Annex H (Signal Operations).
6. Plans and conducts leader development to ensure Observer Controller Team maintains proficiency.
7. Assists in the planning and development of realistic Force-on-Force and Combined Arms Live Fire
Exercises.
8. Supervise the development and execution of a formal training and certification program; maintains
currency and validates Observer Controller certification.
9. Supervise employee performance appraisal program to ensure employees are receiving accurate
feedback on job performance, potential, and retention prospects.
10. Certifies in Company Counterinsurgency and Staff Enabler POI IAW organization's cross-certification program to facilitate personnel flexibility.
11. Augments the Mobile Training Team ISO USARCENT Theatre Security Corporation Plan and must be prepared to deploy anywhere throughout the CENTCOM AOR.

Qualifications
Former E9 or CPT and above Army/USMC with Command and Staff background.
CTC experience preferred.
Familiar with interagency coordination and conflict resolution.
Familiar with training development, design, execution and certification processes.
Must have a SECRET clearance.
