Job Summary:
Knowledge of business, governmental and industrial security techniques and developments to include the application of international, federal, state and local laws pertinent to project/office security and police functions.
Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Prior experience in administering basic security programs.
Proficient in communicating security requirements to contract guards, engineers and construction personnel.
Knowledge of national and international security standards and regulatory requirements.
Capable of obtaining necessary security clearances for access to government classified information.
Some specialized training in industrial security, industrial relations, and related security subjects.
Knowledge of Maritime security and Camp security.
Role Overview
The Site Security Officer provides security, site access control services and assistance to the assigned project and jobsite activities. This person will assist in the implementation of the security programs which are integrated with the project construction activities, develop an effective working relationship with assigned project personnel, and advise Security Supervisor concerning security programs progress, problem areas and remedial actions. This person will be required to do night/day shift at the camp facility. Dealing with construction and workforce.

The Site Control Officer shall be knowledgeable and/or have skills in:
• Implementing Bechtel Security & Site Access Control systems.
• Bechtel industrial relations systems, sensitivities, risk potential.
• Being privy to certain Bechtel confidential information will remain confidential.
• Bechtel safety induction systems.
• Capable of managing conflict situations.
• Skill in verbal and written communications. Capable of obtaining security clearances.
• Public relations and communication skills are essential.
• Current driver’s license is essential.
• Current Security license is essential.

Monitor, Control and Audit short term inductions.
• Be willing to do further training and course to enhance their role within this position
Extensive experience in a similar role required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of administrative functions, including contractual functions.
Ability to develop and analyse information for studies and reports.
Good typing and computer skills
