Purpose:
A vacancy exists within the Corporate Security Department at Corporate Office for the position of Senior Security Supervisor. The incumbent will take responsibility for technical functions in line with the Departments strategy to optimise the utilization of technology to support its people, systems and processes. The incumbent will also provide support to the Corporate Security Manager in the administration of the Department.
To ensure that appropriate technology is implemented, maintained and utilized effectively to support the human resources capacity, systems and processes geared towards providing effective and professional security services to clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum grade 12 certificate
Psira registration with A grading
At least three years experience is a supervisory or managerial role
At least an N5 or equivalent in electronics is required
Computer literacy (hardware and software) is essential
Solid knowledge and experience in CCTV, Access Control and Alarm Systems is essential
Knowledge and experience in IT networks, including security IP systems will be advantageous
Experience in investigations, safety or risk management functions will be advantageous

Main Accountabilities:
Perform the following main functions:
Implement the technology management strategy of the Department in accordance with the Global Security Framework, including technology maintenance, to stay abreast of the latest developments in technology
Conduct planned inspections and reviews of the technology resources in place in the Department to ensure their appropriateness and effective utilization
Ensure the technology resources in the Department are used in accordance with the requirements of applicable legislation, Code of Business Principles and Ethics as well as Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR)
Manage the security crime and intelligence website and provide specialist counsel to members of the Department as well as appropriate employees to help mitigate relevant crime risks
Establish appropriate systems and processes is in line with company policies, standards and procedures as well as applicable legislation
Conduct risk assessments and audits in critical areas at Corporate Office, Executive Residences and other areas of responsibility to ensure the technology in place is efficient and effective
Provide training and mentorship to staff linked to technology to ensure the right levels of technical competence are achieved and utilized to provide best in category services
Provide support to the Corporate Security Manager in ensuring an efficient and effective management of the Department
Reporting to: Corporate Security Manager
Remuneration: Salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Schedule of Salaries.
