Job Description
LEP Border Protection
Division and above
Minimum of ten (10) years experience with US Border Patrol or US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Service on the US Southwest border is highly preferred.
Experience as a special agent or Border Patrol Agent at the GS14 level or higher.
Supervisory level knowledge of counterterrorism/force protection.
Capable of developing border control measures/policies in both high traffic and remote areas.
Suitable for employment in a billet cleared to TS/SCI.
Brigade/Regiment and below
Minimum of ten (10) years experience with US Border Patrol or US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Service on the US Southwest border is highly preferred.
Experience as a special agent at the GS13 or Border Patrol Agent at the GS12 level or higher.
Knowledge of border security and anti-smuggling tactics, techniques and procedures.
Capable of recommending implementation of specific border control measures/policies in both high traffic and remote areas.
Capable of assisting coalition forces to train and mentor HNSF in effective border security and anti-smuggling operations.
Suitable for employment in a billet cleared to SECRET.
Physical Agility Test All LEP personnel must pass a minimum physical agility entrance assessment consisting of:
Dummy drag (one hundred fifty (150) pound dummy) twenty-five (25) feet.
Fireman’s carry (one hundred fifty (150) pound dummy) twenty-five (25) feet.
Walk two (2) miles in forty (40) minutes or less wearing a thirty-five (35) pound pack, body armor, ballistic helmet and carrying a shoulder slung training aide as a substitute for a rifle.
