Duties:
Assist in the development and update of lesson plans in accordance with the USMC Systems Approach to Training (SAT) User’s Guide. Provide technical input in development and updates of curriculum, Program of Instruction (POI) and training materials for the courses of instruction. Instruct Military Advisor Team, other Advisors, and Marines assigned to Cooperative Engagement or Stability and Support Operations (SASO).
Provide training, in accordance with the Advisor Course CDD/POI, on all USMC tactical communications equipment to include the following specific skills and equipment: Communications introduction/refresher; Advanced skills training on current Marine Corps tactical communications assets; radios and field expedient antennas; tactical communications techniques across the spectrum of modern technology including: AN/PRC 152, AN/PRC 110, AN/PRC 150/Manpack, AN/PRC 148, MBITR, AN/PRC119, AN/PRC19F, MBITR, AN/PSN 13 (DAGR/GPS), AN/CYZ/10, VRC110, VRC103, INMARSAT (M4 Variant), AN/PYQ-10 (SKL), CYZ-10, AN/PRC117F Wireless Messaging Terminal, TACCHAT and Blue Force Tracker, CREW systems.
Serve as HHQs and communicate with teams and ATG/ATC cadre during exercises. Performing first echelon maintenance and repairs on Marine Corps tactical and commercial radio systems maintained by ATG S-6/ATC. Performing first echelon maintenance and repairs on radio systems used by foreign militaries i.e. Datron Radio Systems that are or may be maintained at ATG.
Assist with issuing and de-issuing equipment to training personnel.
This position may require travel to alternate training venues.
Performance of duties shall be in a combination of classroom and field conditions.

Civilian Education:

REQUIRED: High School diploma

DESIRED: College degree is preferred.

Military Education.

REQUIRED: Certification as Marine Corps Range Safety Officers (RSO).

DESIRED: Train the Trainer School (T3S) within last four years from date of hire a plus.

Military/Government Experience:

REQUIRED: Communications Operator training; military experience with an extensive communications and electronics technology background.

DESIRED: E-7 or above with familiarity with the Mojave Viper and/or the USMC Advisor Program; operational experience within the last four years as of date of hire; Military Instructor experience is preferred; Currency with TTP and Lessons Learned from recent real world operations within the last four years as of date of hire. Formal School Instructor Course certification a plus; experience in curriculum development.

Clearance: REQUIRED: Secret Clearance.

Other: Must have basic competency in using standard MS applications, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Email.
