Firearms and Tactics Instructor / High Threat Protection

Location: Moyock, NC

Primary Purpose:
Provide quality high risk firearms and tactics instruction to US Training Center Customers

Essential Functions:
· Responsible for teaching Pistol, Carbine, and Shotgun Courses utilizing prescribed curriculum.
· Assists in teaching other courses as needed (Open Enrollment, Law Enforcement, and Military courses)
· Responsible for teaching Customized Training Courses.
· Responsible for teaching Executive Protection courses.
· Responsible for teaching High Threat Protection courses.
· Responsible for Conducting Mobile Training.
· Responsible for Safety of Students.
· Responsible for creating and updating course curriculum.
· Explains and demonstrates use of apparatus and equipment.
· Evaluates the abilities of individual participants to determine suitable corrective or remedial training.
· Ensures accountability of all training equipment
· Other duties as assigned or required.

Required Education/Experience:
Eight years of practical experience in the Protection field; Civilian Contractor working overseas in conjunction with Department of State, Department of Defense, Federal Government Contracts. Prior Military and/or Law Enforcement protection detail experience preferred. Experience Instructing Executive Protection, High Threat Protection. General Instructor Course (Military/ Law Enfrocement). Must be experienced in instructional techniques and proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook). U.S. Citizenship required. Must pass background investigation, physical, drug, and psychological screening, and have no legal disqualifiers to possess firearms.

Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization (including management, peers, team members and customer-base). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Working Conditions:
Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 to 5:00, however, extended or weekend hours may be required. Position also requires work in an office and classroom setting. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally. Travel to high threat/high-risk areas may also be required.

Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards

Physical Requirements:
Regularly Requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing, squatting, and kneeling, included standing for long periods of time, while out in the elements. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift and /or move up to 80 pounds or more with assistance..
