Requirements
L-3 MPRI is seeking a former U.S. Army or Marine Corps non-commissioned officer with extensive scout sniper experience. Graduation from an accredited U.S. Military Sniper School (i.e USMC Scout/Sniper School, SOTIC etc.) is required. Graduation from an Advanced Reconnaissance and Surveillance course or service equivalent is highly desired. Recent experience operating as a scout sniper in the OEF/OIF theaters of operation is required. Must hold an active US security clearance.

Position Description
The Sniper Trainer will support the USG/Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command- Afghanistan and the NATO Training Mission- Afghanistan with the establishment of the Special Operations School of Excellence, comprised of a Headquarters Staff, Special Forces School, Commando School and Leadership Academy. They will assist the Senior Trainer with sniper training in the Advanced Skills section of the Leader Academy. Assist in the development of a Program of Instruction, lesson plans and specific training materials to conduct training for Commando Battalion/Special Forces assigned snipers. Trains skill level 1 and advanced skills at level 2-3. Knowledgeable in US military sniper systems, M24 in particular. Capable of training all aspects of Target Interdiction. Trains with use of an interpreter and Afghan instructors with the intent to transfer instructor responsibility to the Afghans.
