Position: Project Manager (Iraq)
Reports Directly to: Iraq In Country Manager
FLSA Status: Direct
Position Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) will oversee the care, health, training, and proper utilization of AMK9 Contract Working Dog (CWD) teams throughout a high tempo, high volume contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement the Operations Plan in accordance with guidance from the Iraq in Country Manager and Iraq Program Manager and the Canine Services Agreement (contract);
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the Clients Director of K9 Operations;
Formulate best practice policies and procedures to ensure all AMK9 CWD Teams have the proper equipment, training, and care (IAW Canine Exhibits). Work closely with the Iraq in Country Manager, Iraq Program Manager to ensure the AMK9 EDD Teams are prepared for operations and used properly for maximum effectiveness;
Conduct periodic Quality Assurance/Quality Control inspections of the BESF operations;
Develop a team based culture that reduces turnover in the workforce.
Requirements:
Be able to work overseas in austere conditions
Must be a US citizen
Must possess a strong project management background
Preferred experience as K9 explosives detection trainer. One year of security related experience in a high threat environment
AMK9 would prefer experience as a KM
Must have, or be able to obtain, a DoS secret level security clearance
Must have a valid driver’s license and Passport

Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Military or Law Enforcement preferred
International experience in K-9 operations preferred.
