ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The special operations medical instructor will be required to conduct lecture and hands-on instruction for small groups, based upon DOD approved Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Techniques; instruct individuals on TCCC based medical skills; provide over-site of student participation in simulated “Combat Trauma Lanes” and provide mentoring for students.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
The special operations medical instructor will be fully qualified as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D), USAF Para Rescueman or SEAL IDC or successfully graduated from the Special Operations Combat Medic Course (SOCM) or the Advanced Special Operations Combat Medic Course (ADSOCM) conducted at Ft Bragg, NC. Candidates will have a past assignment within the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as a medical provider. Candidates must have the ability to conduct training under adverse weather or night time conditions with prolonged periods of standing.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The preferred candidate should possess operational experience within Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF) as a medical provider at the Battalion level or lower.
