Ellis Mack Recruitment is working with a large, multi-site operator looking to recruit an experienced, highly polished, hands-on Security Manager for one of its Glasgow City Centre businesses.
Responsibilities include:
• To manage the overall smooth and efficient operation of the Door & Building Security
• To provide positive leadership, clear vision, direction and appropriate support for the security function
• Responsible for the selection, recruitment, development and discipline of all staff reporting to you
• Supply the highest possible levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back of house areas
• Provide structured feedback to all team members on customer service
• Develop and implement effective training, coaching and development plans to maximise potential of all team members and the performance of the department
• Implementation and regular review of relevant sections of company policy, COSHH, fire, manual handling food hygiene
• To implement, control and review all procedures relating to Venue Security
• To take responsibility for security staff rotas per the agreed procedures with due regard for the monitoring and control of labour costs
• To carry out regular meetings with all staff with documented minutes
• Take all reasonable steps to safeguard company assets
• To communicate and solve all matters of maintenance and basic standards
• To be fully aware of accident reporting procedure and company policies
• To ensure that the department creates a professional impression to customers and team members at all times
• Provide advice to line managers on security policy, identify any legislative updates and recommend appropriate action
• Assist in conducting investigations of any security breaches within the venue and advise line management of correct solutions
