About our client: Our client is an iron ore company in Central Africa developing world class projects. The company is a focused and dynamic organisation with its head office in London.
Workplace description: Camp
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Provide a safe and secure environment in a remote location to ensure smooth and timely operations
2. Manage a small local security team for paramount security on site
3. Regularly inspect the entire physical premises
4. Establish good relationships with local Government officials, and liaise regularly with them
5. Responsible for screening procedures for visitors and employees, visiting and working on site
6. Communicate regularly with supervisors and management to ensure any security issues are addressed and corrected immediately
Essential criteria:
· Must be an experienced security professional with a mature attitude to take the lead role on the camp.
· A key requisite is the ability to manage a small team in a diverse situation, operating in a remote locality in Central Africa.
· Experience in security organisations or site management is essential.
· Experience in Africa is essential, and French knowledge will be looked upon favourably.
Desirable criteria: A background of investigating or law enforcement would be an asset.
