Duty Station: Middle East Position title: Developer / Trainer for Police Learning Centre
Duration: 2 months, Approx. 2 May – 4 July 2011 Starting Date: ASAP
CTG Global are supporting a UN agency strengthen the capacity of a Middle Eastern Police Force through the provision of train the trainer training for the Police Force’s college Instructors.
General functions:
1) Development and delivery of a train the trainer course for the Police College Instructors on how to utilize a computer lab, to include booting a computer, logging on, simple software tasks and activating various programs in use by the College, such as word processing, internet browser and email.
2) Develop and deliver a train the trainer course on how to develop a self-study computer course that qualifies as elearning
3) Develop and deliver a course for the college instructors on learning centre research techniques. In addition be prepared to advise the instructors on worthwhile learning material that could be procured for the learning centre.
4) Develop an assessment tool to determine if the student has demonstrated the required knowledge, skills, abilities and behaviours to a pre-determined standard
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Former Member of a European Police Force.
Previous experience in a learning centre environment with extensive knowledge of training and curriculum development techniques, instruction on software skills, elearning and research methods.
Train the Trainer experience is an asset.
Personal/Interpersonal Skill required
Stamina, determination, commitment, efficiency and adaptability
Excellent communication skills
High level of integrity, professionalism and personal qualities that can effectively ensure an optimum level of performance.
Working Conditions
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds. The candidate will be part of a 4 person training team.
Languages
Spoken and written English fluency is essential. Working knowledge of Arabic an advantage.
