Roles and Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured and transport the patient to a medical facility; Apply knowledge of basic and advanced emergency medical procedures and techniques to diagnose a victim’s condition and apply the appropriate medical care; Use radio communications equipment as a part of evolutions monitoring and emergency response; Direct the activities of first responders; Demonstrate ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into educational settings; Respond quickly to emergency situations; Provide CPR certification and re-certification instruction; Provide medical coverage to all high-risk training evolutions including: Helicopter Rope Suspension Training /CAST operations, military freefall, diving operations and shooting events; Coverage required in NAWS China Lake, CA; San Diego, CA; Eloy, AZ
Required Skills and Experience:
Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of California; Successful completion of and certification by an accredited Paramedic program; Possess valid CPR Instructor certification.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Combat experience preferred.
