My client who is a well-known international organisation is seeking an individual to join them now in their operations in Afghanistan.
You will be responsible for all security matters and arrangements in country. This will involve advising the clients' operations (properties, field offices, resident guesthouses etc) on matters of security.
Relationships:
• You will report to the Resident Representative based in Kabul and will have a functional (dotted line) relation to the Head of Security
• You will liaise closely with Security Officers from other institutions in country.
Duties:
Will include the following tasks and objectives:
• Co-ordinate the Security mission throughout the Network in Afghanistan.
• Develop budget proposals and oversee implementation of approved budget.
• Develop and institute security procedures throughout the Network.
• Advise and oversee physical security measures.
• Provide threat/risk assessment and recommendations.
• Crisis management including evacuation and emergency plans
• Establish liaison system with other NGOs and local security forces
• Provide briefings on security situations
• Provide security training, including vehicle security training for drivers
Profile:
The desired candidate should have the following profile:
• Experience in management, particularly in the areas of security and crisis management.
• A background in security is essential.
• Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience in training (development of syllabi, program, etc.)
• Experience in firearms instruction.
• Experience in driving instruction.
• Experience of operating within a diplomatic setting an advantage.
• Team building abilities.
• Must be adaptable, flexible and capable.
In return they are offering an excellent package, which will include Food, Accommodation, Insurance, 2 x return flights per annum. Your main area of operation will be Kabul, but you will be required to travel on a regular basis to other regions in the country
