Afghanistan National Police (ANP) Maintenance Manager - A-TEMP

This is a Proposed position contingent upon successful contract win.

Title: Afghanistan National Police (ANP) Maintenance Manager, Afghanistan – Technical Equipment Maintenance Program A-TEMP

Location: Kabul Afghanistan

Directly responsible for oversight and execution of ANP maintenance and supply contractual responsibilities related to the Army Sustainment Command’s (ASC’s) Afghanistan – Technical Equipment Maintenance Program (A-TEMP).


Qualifications: Position requires a general knowledge of U.S. Army logistics and specific knowledge of and experience performing Army maintenance management, supply, training, and property accountability, including in austere environments. The individual should process skills similar to a multi-functional officer, ordinance officer, or quartermaster officer. Six years logistics experience required.

Education/Training: Bachelors degree is preferred A major in business administration/business management is preferred. Formal LSS training and experience in instituting LSS in an operation is desired.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes and directs teams responsible for performing operator level maintenance or higher level maintenance. Directs associated supply functions. Establishes and directs teams responsible for maintaining property accountability and visibility of equipment valued in hundreds of millions of dollars.

Assists in instituting Lean Six Sigma (LSS), i.e., develops methods, procedures, and processes to economize and expedite mission success.

Establishes and periodically reviews key performance metrics. Directs corrective actions to include adjusting the extent and frequency of associated activities. For example, reallocates personnel within an area of operation to accomplish program objectives.

Performs liaison with key leaders. Regularly and routinely provides program status through written reports, near real time automated reports, and formal briefings. Visits subordinate locations to evaluate operations, resolve issues, and liaison with ASC personnel and supported forces.

Performs the full range of supervisory duties, e.g. hiring, discipline and counseling, and individual development.
