Responsible for coordination of protective operations in support of a US Government Facility. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.
• Coordinates Contractor-provided protective operations
• Assists the Watch Officer in the tactical operations center (TOC)
• Assists in the coordination and supervision of all protective operations, to include the following:
o Manage the day-to-day operations of the protection cell within the TOC
o Evaluate threatening situations and appropriately call for deployment of additional resources (e.g., emergency response team, quick response force, etc.)
o Operate communications equipment and monitor and relay radio traffic to effectively controlling the various protection nets
o Communicate with entities outside of the protection cell with a variety of voice and text-based communications technology (e.g., local cell phone, regional and global satellite phone, tactical military radio, and UHF/VHF radio
o Prepare daily and weekly reports as requested by supervisory chain-of-command
o Maintain a watch record
o Ensure that PSDs submit required mission paperwork prior to the start of a mission
o Monitor PSDs
o Assist with mission planning for PSDs
o Maintain a database of all protective missions
o Brief senior personnel during emergency situations
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must possess either:
1. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing protective services on a US Government contract
2. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing protective services on a WPS, WPPS, or WPS II contract, with a minimum of six (6) months of that experience functioning as a Protective Security Operations Chief
• Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in protective security assignments
1. Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services
2. A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a protective security supervisory or in-charge capacity
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hiring
• Must have a valid US Passport
• Must have a current US driver's license
• Must be able to pass a physical fitness agility test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
• If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge
• Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess the criteria to be awarded and maintain the necessary US-issued security clearance
• Must be able to pass a medical physical approving candidate for overseas work
• Ability to travel to, and/or work in, an austere, hostile, or remote location.
• Attend and successfully complete the PSS training course
• Attend and successfully complete the required supervisor training course
• Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required by the task order
