Deputy Security Manager - Mozambique

Job Overview:

The Deputy Security Manager is responsible, to perform security activities according to the security guidelines or as required by HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Manager.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensure specialized, organizational, technical and management support to the HSSE R Manager in order to accomplish company policy objectives related to provision of security for all resources and company assets;
Ensure specialist support to the Employer/ HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Manager for the evaluation and management of security risks, ensuring laws and company regulations are applied at all times;
Conduct regular, periodic risk assessment, provide assistance for review to superior levels and be integrated in the organization's decisional process so as to take critical aspects and their development into account;
Provide specialized security and organizational support for the company management and monitoring security activities;
Manage security risk analysis and risk mitigation processes, define the general security organization and procedures at Corporate /Division / operating company level according to security guidelines;
At Division / operating company level, ensure that security guidelines, standards, criteria, procedures and regulations are correctly implemented to all security activities at operational level;
Support the HSSE Manager in managing local emergency and crisis situations, while providing swift and continuous reporting to higher management according to procedures in place;
Support the management of all local contracts related to Security goods and services, according to the Supply Chain guidelines, including but not limited to: performing technical evaluation of vendors bids, coordinating due diligence process according to standards, technical qualification of security providers, monitoring the quality of services delivery, costs, as well as other requirements related to security supply chain;
Ensure proper development of security and evacuation plans at Corporate / Division / operating company level accordingly;
Ensure adequate management budgets and forecasts in relation to security services, as well as monitoring and reporting of security costs for activities at permanent sites and/or projects sites;
Establish and maintain an effective Security performance monitoring and reporting for all security activities in regular bases according to security reporting methodologies and procedures;
Develop and carry out security information / awareness and training programs (security induction) for people / employees involved in the organization;
Coordinate security investigations, reporting and flow of information for local security events according to the guidelines and in liaison with the local authorities, support investigation activities to the extent permitted by law within the areas of security involving company / branch resources;
Support security investigations and event management: analysis, preventive investigation and investigation into internal and external damaging events, as requested by the relevant HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Manager, in collaboration with regulators and authorized private parties;
Manage issues concerning safeguarding of confidential data at Corporate / Division / Operating company level according to the security guidelines;
Determine, collect and analyses selected security data to ascertain the suitability and effectiveness of the security management system;
Coordinate all the necessary activities for gathering, processing and managing information to support the business strategic decisions, supporting the analysis of geopolitical contexts;
Provide support for information security: protection of knowledge, information and data belonging to the organization, its clients, and other related interested parties.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Associates degree from accredited college
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
5-10 years of security related experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Military) or 1 year as a Senior Security Specialist.
3 years documented managerial experience.
