Prerequisites:
Be physically fit to perform all assigned duties;
Must be in possession of a valid certificate/booklet of vaccination showing all vaccinations and immunisations received. They also must be vaccinated according to the required immunisations for the Area of Operation of the Mission which includes COVID-19 vaccination;
Proficient/independent in English language (speaking, writing, listening, and reading); required min. level of C1 for Key Expert positions. (Certification must be provided)
Valid First aid qualification (FPOS or equivalent, Certification must be provided);
Weapons qualified on all the weapons used by the Contractor (ref. para. 6.4) (Certification must be provided)
Clear criminal record;
Excellent interpersonal skills, including positive, cooperative, discrete and diplomatic nature;
Customer service orientation;
Ability to operate well under pressure.
Qualifications and skills
Successful completion of university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma OR a qualification in the National Qualifications Framework which is equivalent to level 6 in the European Qualifications Framework OR a qualification of the first cycle under the framework of qualifications of the European Higher Education Area, e.g. Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent and attested police or/and military education or training or an award of an equivalent rank. The studies shall be in security and defence, peace and conflict studies, intelligence or other related fields;
Valid Category ‘C’ driving license;
IT and radio literate; conversant with Sat phones (e.g., Iridium), and GPS systems;
Proficient user in English language (min. level required: C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);
Be physically able to perform all general duties, functions, and activities;
Firearms trained.
Must be able to hold a EU Personnel Security Clearance required level EU Confidential or, a minima, to be able to prove that they have initiated the process to get such an EU PSC.
General professional experience
Total professional experience of minimum 10 years.
Specific professional experience
Professional experience of which minimum 5 years in a management position in an international operational environment (international is defined as a country outside the home nation of the applicant);
Experience in Close Protection-related tasks of minimum 5 years;
Professional experience in management of personnel for minimum of 5 years;
Professional experience in management of personnel in large teams;
Relevant professional experience of working in crises area environment
