Purpose of the Role
The Security Supervisors perform a key role within the Security Department. The Security Supervisor supervises and evaluates the routine performance of the contracted guard force. In addition to the above tasks, the Security Supervisor supervises site operations during night shifts, CIL/ADR plants, SRT/Fence and Safety operations at Main Gate.
Key Areas of Responsibilities and Duties
I- Guard Force Supervision and Evaluation:
• The Security Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and correcting, as needed the appearance of the contracted guard force.
• The Security Supervisor makes frequent patrol at all site and report any anomalies to concerned department.
• The security supervisor is responsible for managing access at CIL /ADR plants and theirs gold rooms, supervising Gold shipment activities.
• The Security Supervisor is responsible for establishing and testing of the contracted guard force to insure their knowledge of the three general orders for the site and the individual post orders for their assigned post.
• The Security Supervisor oversees and validates the performance of the contracted guard force using the security management approved guard force performance evaluation plan (GFPEP).
• The Security Supervisor will monitor and report on all necessary guard force training and/or retraining required as a result of the evaluations conducted in accordance with the GFPEP.
• The Security Supervisor will be responsible for insuring that Site Access and Control Procedures and associated badge requests for the contracted guard force are submitted compete and on time.
• The Security Supervisor will monitor and insure the professional attendance of all contracted guard force personnel at all HSE mandatory yearly training events.
• The Security Supervisor will submit and follow up on all work order or equipment requests required in support of his supervisory mission.
• The Security Supervisor will submit in accordance with Security Department procedures a daily mission and a shift handover report prior to going off duty.
II- Operation Supervision (Night Shift):
• The Security Supervisor is responsible of supervision especially on night shift, the work of the SRT. Supervisors represent the continuity of the management and are asked to make adequate decisions in case of unusual situation.
III- Plants Operation Supervision:
• The security supervisor is responsible of managing access at CIL /ADR plants and theirs gold rooms, supervising Gold shipment activities.
IV- Fence and SRT Operation Supervision (Night Shift):
• The Security Supervisor makes frequent patrol at all site and report any anomalies to concerned department.
V- Safety Control Supervision and Evaluation:
• The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and evaluating the safety control at Main Gate. He should evaluate safety anomalies and make appropriate decisions according to the risk and procedures.

Requirements of the Role
1- Past experience
i. 3-5 years’ work experience with at least 1 year personally serving at ever-increasing levels of prominence and influence within a contracted guard force; ideally having worked up through the chain-of-command to at least a supervisor position. Or, having previously served in a force securing extractable minerals operations; and at least two years of service as a senior NCO or Officer in the military/Gendarmerie or Police.
2- Education
i. BAC + 2.
ii. Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of site HODs, contractors and government representatives, in a highly professional manner, displaying tact and diplomacy when needed.
iii. Ability to communicate effectively in French verbally and in written form.
iv. Skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook and Excel) to record and produce information.
v. Be open minded, pro-active, team orientated and have a high sense of the need for confidentiality.
vi. Willingness to work long/necessary hours to meet the requirements of the 24/7 security operation.
vii. Willingness to put the safety of others before that of themselves.

iv. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook and Excel) to record and produce information.
v. Demonstrate ability to be self-organized with a high level of attention to detail and good documentation skills.
vi. Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of site visitors (e.g. employees, contractors, government officials) in a professional manner, displaying tact and diplomacy when needed.
vii. Be open minded, pro-active, team orientated and have a high sense of the need for confidentiality.
viii. Understand integrated processes.
ix. Willingness to work long/necessary hours to meet the requirements of the 24/7 security operation.
