Physical Security Manager - Coatzacoalcos

Description
The successful candidate will be hired directly by one of Control Risks client’s as a Physical Security Manager for their facilities in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz. Provides strategic direction and progressive leadership for the risk management of assigned facilities to ensure all processes and projects comply with all security international, federal, state and local standards. This function is responsible for implementing and maintaining security programs based on the identification, evaluation and treatment of risks, risk prevention and physical security.Provide leadership in Security, training and operational advice at all levels of the organization and through the corporate functional groups.
Applies expert knowledge and understanding of security functions and systems (e.g., responding to routine investigations, security emergencies, relationships with other neighbor security leaders).
Monitor and follow up on leading and lagging indicators, as well as information analysis to identify areas of opportunity and reduce risk.
Conducts complete risk assessments periodically. Develops contingency plans for emergency situations related to security and advise in security matters about security risks regarding new sites or projects.
Develops and implements a top-level risk management program and manages the Security Operations in Mexico. Supports and assists the CMT (Crisis Management Team) in Mexico.
Ensures program compliance with international, Federal, and State Laws, corporate policies, procedures, standards and internal agreements in security matters.
Ensure that emergency response to security incidents, policies and procedures are available to address any emergency on the industrial site.
Manages contracted security personnel (ranging from 75 to 110, depending on seasonal activity). Ensures accurate and consistent administration and interpretation of the service agreement between the company and the security company.
Liaison with local law enforcement (Federal agencies and State authorities too).
Leads and participates in planning, developing and implementing security system projects and improvements. Authorizes expenditures for equipment, supplies, automobile maintenance and other items within budgetary constraints and with a view toward maximizing returns.
Coordinate the process of security carried out by Authorities, insurance companies, Corporate and Non-governmental Entities. Participate in the external audits of BRC, PBIP, CT-PAT, META and others, being a leading auditor or part of the team of auditors of the company’s plants in Mexico, the USA and Canada.
Analyzes quality, financial and other performance indicators with the objectives of providing the highest level of service within budgetary constraints.
Evaluates business/industry security trends for potential impact on the company and recommends appropriate course of action.
Ensures that risks are adequately identified and protected against per the company.
Maintains a positive, professional work environment free of discrimination and harassment. Ensures that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect. Participates in prompt and effective resolution of legal, financial, HR, operational and administrative issues.
Coordinates with other managers to achieve common goals and objectives.
Carries out security programs to protect travelers, coming to Mexico on business trips. Coaches and trains contractors and employees in security matters and supports them in case of a security related emergency.
In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
Required

A degree in Management and/or Engineering or Criminology, or Criminal Justice, or Lawyer, or any other degree
ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
At least 15 years of experience in security roles (with at least 5 years in security in the Mexican private manufacturing sector)
Essential special knowledge on physical security, emergency management, security projects, executive protection, personal security, Security Operations (including guard force management), liaison with authorities, financial, legal, and human resources administration, including PC skills.
Advanced knowledge of English.

Desirable
Master's degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of Coatzacoalcos and rural areas of Veracruz.
