Overview of position
Working under the direction of the Country Operations Manager you will be responsible for client close protection on mobile security tasks; at venues, and when static in the project base camp compound. Furthermore, you will ensure that clients are briefed to a degree of detail appropriate to the mission. For routine movements, a bonnet brief may be adequate, but for more complex missions a detailed operations order is to be prepared and archived. You are also responsible for briefing and controlling Somali security team members on mission. You will also mentor and supervise them in training and in the conduct of all their duties to ensure optimum levels of performance.
Role objectives
Specific task requirements will be given in detail in SOPs, however, primary duties are, but not exclusive to, as follows:
Provide effective close protection to the Client at all times including mobile security tasks, when deployed on the ground at venues, and while static at the project main base camp compound.
Ensuring the smooth and effective operational running of PSD (Protective Security Detail).
Ensure Client and security team are briefed in appropriate detail prior to every mission, preparing and archiving operations orders as required.
Maintain operational oversight and control of all checks and planning requirements pertaining to quality and auditing.
Following guidance from the project Operations Manager, maintain responsibility for the delivery of all monthly training requirements and the maintenance of auditable training records.
Ensure all team equipment, weapons and vehicles are clean, serviceable, and compliant.
Ensure the Client and team are kept fully briefed on all matters operational, situational, and logistical, while also being aware of team welfare and personal matters.
Have a full understanding of Hart-Nationwide policies and procedures, the contract statement of work, and be conversant with Client company procedures.
Produce clear written operations orders and reports when required.
Contribute to collection and collation of intelligence related information as directed to help inform the weekly project intelligence report.
Conduct comprehensive hand-over of responsibilities during in/out leave rotations.
Remain client always focussed and professional.
Project reporting
You are to produce the following reports:
Daily flap sheet/journey management plan and client brief before operations deployment.
Operations orders for non-routine missions.
Team and weapons records.
Pass on check sheets during handovers.
Weekly equipment checks sheets.
Monthly training records.
Monthly fuel records.
Venue recce reports as required.
Incident reports as required.
