The Global Security team at PSI is highly involved in providing security and operational advice, guidance, support, and information so that staff and operations can continue to safely deliver our programs and objectives. We maintain close connections and stay acutely informed of what is happening in PSI countries to alert teams and decision-makers of political, criminal, health, or natural disaster issues and how best to respond to emerging risks.

PSI seeks a Manager, Global Security that will Manage the safety and security for a portfolio of countries, to include incident management, capacity-building, risk assessments, and compliance with PSI security policies and furthering PSI's duty of care to staff. The Global Security Manager will work to reduce the risks faced by PSI personnel, assets and programs through the provision of specialized, coordinated and focused safety and security preparedness and management support. They will develop a strong knowledge of PSI's programs and have a good understanding of development program approaches and principles.
Your contributions
-Serve as primary point person for all matters of safety and security to a portfolio of countries with varying degrees of complexity 40% of the Time
-Provide remote and in-person security capacity building to country teams and HQ staff 25% of the Time
-Contribute to the success of the department by drafting or performing analysis, reports, newsletters, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders 15% of the Time
-Perform remote or in-person security incident management and after-action reviews to produce updated mitigation measures and learnings 20% of the Time

What are we looking for?
-Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., International Relations; Risk Management; Area studies; Politics; Military Science; MBA).
-Master's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., International Relations; Risk Management; Area studies; Politics; Military Science; MBA) preferred.
-At least 7 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.
-At least 5 years managing security with increasing responsibility including high risk countries.
-At least 2 year working overseas in developing country contexts preferred.

Professional level French and English skills required; fluent in one language and the ability to conduct business in the other.

Experience developing security-related technical tools, guidelines, systems, and SOPs.
