Reporting into Protective Services, the Executive Protection Specialist is the primary interface with senior executives and ensures that all client needs, and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and utilizing proper protective services skills at all times to enable executive leadership to conduct business without undue concern for their safety or security.
Responsibilities:
Provide industry leading protection for C-level Executives and other designated employees.
Oversee employee high risk travel as required.
Execute advance preparations and security assessments of sites, residences, and events to ensure thorough, efficient, and proportionate, threat-based security measures.
Coordinate with public and private sector counterparts to provide for the security for business meetings, visiting international business leaders, public officials, or other VIPs.
Liaison with external industry resources (e.g. law enforcement, government, emergency responders, industry peers & associations, etc.)
Partner with internal teams on the planning and logistics around company-sponsored events to ensure security matters and executive participation are adequately addressed.
Requirements:
5+ years of multi-national security experience to include at least 3 years in an executive security or protective services role.
Strong understanding of industry specific legislations and compliance requirements.
Current and valid driver’s license.
Current and valid passport.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate effectively under potentially strenuous circumstances in other countries.
Ability to work independently to implement and maintain security requirements.
Ability to function as part of a team under challenging circumstances.
Additional Information:
This position requires extensive domestic and international travel.
The selected candidate must maintain all applicable licenses and certifications as required.
Carries out personal protection assignments in accordance with defined policies and procedures, which may include air travel on commercial and private aircraft, static post coverage and response to crisis, planning for protective operations, administration, security advances, physical security escorts, coordination of ground transportation, medical assistance, and other duties as assigned in support of the Office of CEO and other HPE executives
Identify, track, and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities via various means
Perform advances in support of executive travel when not acting in close protection
Perform vehicle transportation functions as necessary and maintain the executive transportation vehicle to include the mandatory equipment (road emergency kit, medical/trauma kit, AED, etc.) and routine vehicle inspections
Maintain proficiency in relevant protective services training
Reviews, recommends, and procures equipment and technology deemed necessary to enhance the executive protection mission.
Prepares executive communications, briefings, training sessions and reports.
Supports development and delivery of security awareness activities to executives and their families.
Incumbent must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate and be able to travel with short notice, including internationally, which could exceed 50%.
Maintain absolute confidentiality and privacy in accordance with guidelines, policies, and applicable laws
Education:
BS/BA Degree preferred, but not required. Relevant experience may be substituted for preferred educational background.
